What this transition means for clients
Every client retains control over who provides legal representation and where the client’s file is maintained.

Bob may continue handling certain existing matters that he has agreed to retain. - 2Ask EQUES to consider your matter.
EQUES may evaluate whether it can take over or assist with a matter after completing conflicts and intake review. - 3Select another lawyer.
You may retain any attorney or law firm of your choice. - 4Request your file.
You may ask that your file be returned to you or transferred to another lawyer you select.
Important: No matter is automatically transferred to EQUES. EQUES does not become your lawyer unless conflicts are cleared and you and EQUES enter into a written engagement agreement. Do not assume that a court date, filing deadline, hearing, statute of limitation, or other time-sensitive obligation has changed because of this transition.
